The Committee of Enquiry appointed to examine into the railway contracts have made their report, which is signed only by the Ministerialists, and which relieved the Hon. A. H. Palmer, Colonial Secretary, and the Hon. Thos. Mclhvraith, Colonial Treasurer, from the charge of being contractors, and recommends that further enquiry be made in England into the matter, which still remains unexplained. rheGppositionists protest against this course, asserting that Mr. Hemant's allegations have been proved, and urge that a Royal Commission be sent to England forthwith.’ Saving John Chinaman.
