The attack on Nagatisa was followed up by an attack on Niharns-Hocka, a small station garrisoned by thirteen Europeans, under Mr. Surmon, and some twenty native police, Twice has the little band beefi' opposed by a party of Basutos estimated at 3000 men, but on each occasion the. assailants have been beaten off. The positipri '.of the littlp' garrison was, however*, so.critical, that it waS determined to effect their relief, and oh Monday last a column,' some 300 strong, marched in and brought out the garrison. The rebels opposed the xriarch, .but unsuccessfully, losing a number of men. The British loss was only brio man killedand five wounded.
