From the Other Side.— One of the unemployed who lately left Wellington by the Hero, for Sydney, seems to be thoroughly satisfied with his new home. He has written to a friend in Wellington, and narrates his experience as regards the labor market. Carpenters, bricklayers, and plasterers are in demand at 10s. per day of eight hours ; painters get 9s. and laborers 7s. and Bs. Good meals can be obtained for 6d., and, taking all circumstances into consideration, he concludes that Sydney has the advantage of New Zealand as a field for the unemployed.
