THE ASTRONOMER, PROCTOR.
To the Editor.
Sir, —Mr. Proctor, the astronomer, has kindly consented to deliver one, or possibly two, lectures in Ashburton about a mouth hence, if I so advise him within a reasonable time. Reserved seats will be 45.; unreserved, 2s. Gd.—no half-price. May I ask you to aid me in securing Mr. Proctor’s visit, by permitting me through your columns to request those who intend taking tickets to kindly communicate with me at once, mentioning the number of tickets to bo taken, and if for one or two lectures. Owing to the small size of the Town Hall, there must be a large number of applications for reserved seats. —I am, &c., F. P. O’Reilly.
