Thiele, Ashburton, Sept. 23, 1880 : L.N. 539 Physical characteristics, a well-made bread, clean and white, and of good taste; water, 43.04 per cent; ash, ’9O per cent ; alum, nil ; sulphuric acid, trace ; copper, nil; iron, nil ; tartaric acid, nil; reaction of aqueous infusion, slightly acid; reaction of ash, alkaline; color of ash, white.
