CORRESPONDENCE.

We do not hold ourselves responsible for the opinions expressed by our correspondents.

To the Editor. Sir, —Since the water has accumulated to such an extent in the Domain, I have been looking and longing for a swim, but am somewhat perplexed through not being certain whether, if I did take an early morning dip, I could be dropped upon by the minions of the law for so doing. Being one of the class who look upon editors as beings who can or should give a correct answer to almost any question, civil, religious, or political, under the sun, the thought struck me that I would endeavor to get enlightened by applying to you. I shall (and lam sure many Others will also) be obliged, sir, if you can inform me whether the public will be allowed to bathe in the Domain during the hours mentioned in the by-laws—viz., before seven a.m. or after seven p.m.—Yours, &c., A Longer for a Dip. [See Dr. Trevor’s speech at the Mayor’s banquet. —Ed.]
