Ashburton Guardian Office, Wednesday evening. Messrs. Davies and Winter report: —On Tuesday, the 24th inst., we held a clearing sale of farming plant, etc., under bills of sale, on account of Messrs. McKerrow and Co. There was a good attendance, and we placed things all mind at very good prices, it being the most satisfactory sale of the kind held in the district for some time. In horses, we disposed of five light draughts, one at L 24, one at L 23, one at L2O, one at LlB, one at Ll 5, and an old screw at 375. 6d. Cows—One at Lio Ss., one at LB 10s., one at L 6, one at L 7, and one at L 4 55., and four calves for L 5 7s. fid. Pigs—One at L 3 Ss., and small ones from Li to 10s. each. Two McCormick’s reapers and binders realised L4S 10s. and L3S respectively ;.one dray, LlB 10s., and one at Ll 5 ; double-furrow plough, Ll 4. Fowls at from 4s. fid. per pair. ' Harness and sundries brought-fair values.
