PARLIAMENTARY NOTES.
(By Telegraph from our own Correspondent.) Wellington, Aug. IS. The House has made little progress with business this week, and none of the essential Tax Bills are yet in print. This afternoon the majority of the-Opposition again declared that they had no leader. Mr. Pyke has attempted to fill the gap by giving notice -of a want of confidence motion in the management of the businsss of the House, but that member’s estimate of himself is the reverse of the opinion that the Households of him, and the best of causes would fail in such hands. Sir G. Grey is now going through his usual tirade against Messrs. Bolleston, Dick, and Hall on the land question.
