The barque Chalgrove, 513 tons, bound for West Australia, put into Plymouth, damaged by collision with another vessel. London, July 12.

England and France, through their Ambassadors at Athens, have advised the Greek Government to abstain from calling out the army reserve, pending receipt of Turkey’s reply to a circular note of the Great Powers, embodying decisions of the Berlin Conference.

The homeward mails via Brindisi, per Orient Company’s steamer Aconcagua, were delivered here to-day. The cricket match, Australians versus Leicestershire county team, at Leicester, was commenced to-day. The Australian team went in first, and scored 142 runs. The Home team then went in for their first innings, and when the stumps were drawn had Jive wickets down for 32 runs.
