Mails close at the Chief .Post Office, Christchurch, for the following places . (subject to necessary alterations) as under':— Tuesday, May 4. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Arawata, at 3.15 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via" Brindisi (for correspondence specially ' addressed. only), will be closed at Christchurch on May Gth, and will be due in London on June '26th. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on May 22, and will be due in London on July 6. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
