Mails closes at the Chief Post Offices for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Saturday, March 20. For Otago, per Penguin. For Northern ports, per Hawea. Tuesday, Marclf-23; For Otago and Australian Colonies, perTararua, at 1.50 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on March * 27th, and will be due in London on May 11th. The next mail for the United Kingdqmvia Brindisi, will be closed at Christchurch on April 6th, and will be due in London on May 27th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
