Deferred Payments. —A large area of land has been proclaimed open for settlement on deferred payments at Te Aroha and Waikato, in lots ranging from 26 to 314 acres. Public Works in Auckland. —Hie Ministry have promised to call at once for tenders for a large number of contracts in the Auckland district, and have also expressed their intention of throwing open a large area of land for purchase on the deferred payment system.
