To the Editok. Sir, —Our attention has been called to the publication of a petition in Saturday’s issue of the “Ashburton Mail,” purporting to be signed by Edward Saunders and others. Will you kindly allow us to state through your column's that such a petition has not been signed by our Mr. Edward Saunders, and further, that we are strongly in favor of the projiosed water supply scheme.
