AKAROA.
The Royal William, Ist of August from Akaroa. She reporls favourably of the whaling stations to the southward, and we subjoin a list of the vessels on the coast, with the oil they have obtained— Eamont, C. Lovett, .2 months, 5 whales, lost two anchors. Fortitude, Capt. Baily, 2 months, 9 whales, lost one anchor. Marianne, Capt. Lindsay, Hobart Town, 2 whales Romulus, (American), Mystic, 25 months, 2,500 barrels, 80 barrels sperm. Cheviot, Capt. Mansfield, 10 weeks, 6 whales. Joanna, Capt. Chamberlain, 6 whales. Wallaby, Capt. Gardner, 90 tons. Juno, Sydney, Terror, Capt. Harper,"Sydney, all well. St. Croix (Bremen ship), 4 whales. New Bedford, Cap t. Po 11 er. '< China, 15 months, 1.600 barrels. Wood's station, 13 whales. Price's station, 14 whales. Bell's fishery Kaikora, 53 tons. Several of the vessels it is stated may be expected to come here to refit. We understand that a reason for whalers abstaining from this port to refit, has been a belief which has been geneially prevalent that they would be subjected to heavy pott dues, while the fact is there are none on whalingfvessels.— Wellington Spec,
