Wellington, until Fnrtay the -6th day of March next, for furnishing the Commissariat at Wellington ; with the supplies undermentioned, in such quantities as may be required, during the Twelve Calendar Month* commencing the Ist April next, under the oooditious hereinafter specified, viz., Auckland and Wellingtons Fresh Meat j Flour > at per lb. Bread ) Bum at per Imperial Gallon, Firewood of a maikftable y description S at por 100 lbs. St<aw,._ 3 Mould Candles i Dip Candles,... * P er lb * FOR HOSPITALS, &c. Vinegar at per Imperial Gallon. Porter per dozen. CONDITIONS. Qualities of the Supplie^. lit. All the articles to be of the best quality of Iheir several kind*. 2nd. The Flour to be tb** produce of clean sound Colonial Wheat, from which 20 per oeut in bran ha* been extracted. 3id. The Bread to be made from Flour of the same quality a* described in tlie preceding paia graph, and to l»»- baked 24 hours before being issued, in loaves of 21bs. etch. . 4th. No part whatever of the supplies above Specified, shall be received to charge o 1 the Commissariat, but shall be delivered hv the Contractor direct to the persons entitled thereto, upon the written order Of the Cdnmfssatiat Officer in charge, or of any person authorized by him for that purpose. GENERAL CONDITIONS, i Bth. Each lender sent in, in consequence -of this Advertisement, to be accompanied by a state. Bieut signed by two competent persons, and expressing their readiness, in the event of such Tender being accepted, to become security for the due performancr of the Contract which will then be entered into. The penalty of the Bond to be equal to the e*dimated amount of two month's supplies ; and no supplies will be received until the Bond lias been duly executed. oth. Tenders may be sent in. "either for the 'Whole of the supplies required for each district re* apectively, or for any portion of tinm, except those under the bead of “ Hospitals,” which must all be la one Tender. 10. The Contractor to prepare his own Account according to the prescribed form, and on the production thereof at this Office, with the requisite Vouchers in a oomplete state, shall receive payment monthly, bv a Bill upon the Lords Ccrmniissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury at par, when the amount Is Twenty-five pmmtts nr upwards; when under that amount, payment will be made in Cash. 11. In the event of any article offered being ob jacted to as not agreeing with these Conditions, it Will be'Bnbmitted to a Board of Officers, to be appointed by the Officer commanding at the station, and if rejected by the Board, it will be replaced by the Commissariat Officer and charged against the Contractor, in the event of hii neglecting to do ■o when required. 12. It shall be in the power of either party to limit tbe duration of the Contract by giving in writing a notice of three calendar months to the opposite party, and to end the contract at the expiration of that period, it being understood that auch notice can be given only from the first day ®f a month, and within the period for which the is made or agreed to be made. 13th. Each lender to he enclosed in a separate •nvelnpr, and mark- d “ Tender for Bread,” “ Tender fur Meat, &c.,” as tbe case may be. No Tender sent in shall be withdrawn or altered, and notice of those accepted shall be given within three • days of the time of opening. In all cases where persons who have tendered, refuse to fulfil their offers upon light or frivolous excuses, it wil; be competent for the undersigned to decline to rt-oeive Tenders from them at any future period.
