MARRIAGE.
On the 22nd instant, by the Rev. J. F, Chitrton, Mr. Hugh Clarke? commander of the “Sisters," now lying at Manakau Harbour, to Miss McCarthy, late of Nelson.
PoLiCr. —• James Brown, charged with house-breaking and robbery at Port Nicholson, has been fully committed for trial at the County Court.’ The prisoner was apprehended by constable Dennis Corkerv, who came down with the convicts from Poit Nicholson. Henry Campbell “ Parkhurst Boy," servant to Mr, Marshall, baker, was convicted of drunkenness, and fined one pound and eosts. This being liis second offence, he was admonished by the Chief Pofice Magistrate ; and assured, that if he should again appear, his punishment would be much friore severe. Samue l Thompson, & Morris, (a colored man), were charged by natives with assaulting them, and being convicted, were fined forty shillings
each, or to be imprisoned f mrfeen days, with hard labour. Mr. Forsyth as usual, acted as interpreter.
Charge of Perjury. —John English, late in the employ of Mr. Spicer, of the Bay of Islands, after an investigation befire the Chief Police Magistrate, has been fully committed for trial, on a charge of perjury, jn his evidence at the recent session of the County Court, in the case of MfFoetf t Buchan.
