January 1851. :- That this Meeting having taken into consideration the subject of removing this district of Taranaki into the Southern Province of New Zealand, hereby record their opinion that such removal would be detrimental to their interests; and as such it is hoped will not be sanctioned by the Governor-in-Chief.
