It is true that I called for £1 a month, and you know there are twelve months in a year, and such is the sum of the pounds that you replied to me. You say that is a great amount and I should take back from that £8, but although you have a proposal, my heart is set on this. I will not go to Wanganui for there is no matter for discussion for me to make the journey. The subjects for you and I are these, to settle a leader for the river.
