Wednesday 10 March 1847. We breakfasted at 1/2 past 7 when willington Carrington arrived and the Natives of Hauranga came after breakfast to have a talk & protested in strong terms to let the Timuru river be the North boundary. I told them it was useless to offer opposition now & that we should not acknowledge any other boundary, After breakfast we commenced surveying. 1st. day W. Carrington - 10/6 1 - Epapi Chairman 1/6 A large stone to the South of Patooni called ''Anaituapeka'' is the boundary between the Hauranga Tataraimatea Natives. Timuru N.N.E.
