Bay of Islands, 1st December, 1859 My dear McLean, We have just heard through Henry Smith of your recent severe indisposition. We beg to offer you our best sympathies, and to express our sincere regret, that such an unfortunate event should have happened to you on your journey. We trust that you are now being speedily restored to health and strength, and that in a short time, we may again have the great pleasure of seeing you quite recovered. Believe me, My dear Mc, with our best regards, Sincerely yours, Henry T. Kemp Donald McLean Esq. J. P.
