Downing Street July 20 1860. Sir, As a further reply to the Deputation which waited on Lord Palmerston, on the 18th. Instant. I am desired by His Lordship to inform you that one Regiment has already gone to New Zealand and that another is going to relieve the one previously there, while the Regiment which is to be relieved may, of course, be detained in the country for a time, if it be urgently necessary.
