after which they went to Mrs. Gudgeon's, where we all passed a very pleasant day. Neuman was very happy with his wife; and she appeared equally happy with her husband, and may they long remain so. Three days after the wedding party, Watt was thrown from his horse on the beach. His leg caught in the stirrup, when, luckily, his boot came off, and liberated him from his perilous situation. He escaped with concusions, and is now nearly well. I have this moment caught sight of the bride and bridegroom, both looking very well indeed as Neuman would say, beautiful. The Harris' have secured the old Barracks, and will take possession as soon as Mr. and Mrs. Curtis leave for Omata. As far as I know all your friends here are well, and will be glad to see you back again. Yours very faithfully (Signed) H. Halse. To:- D. McLean Esq.
