If there was any understanding with Piripi Tuapa, that certain boundaries were accepted or merely that 500 acres were to be reserved on the Waihora River. Four hundred Acres are claimed by Ihaka at the head of the Paerau this I believe the Natives are entitled to. Ihaka and other natives resident at the head of the valley strongly object to the 2 Reserves of 200 acres each surveyed for them on Otawhiki Te Kepa is very anxious that the purchase of the Wainuiora Block should be completed.
