Auckland 15th July 1871 My dear Sir I am off back to Kaipara after being here two days squaring off my yearly accounts with old Ward - I have hardly seen anyone in Town owing to the awful weather. I have sent you a letter addressed to Fenton and owing to a letter of Gillies not being copied I have not yet sent that for your perusal but will do so on Monday next. There is no news here except that the Calodonians are down they will be up again - I am very anxious to hear if you have purchased the Ngatarawa plains the place I like so much. Let me know. I am, Yours faithfully, J. Rogan The Hon. D. McLean Napier
