My dear McLean, I am going to the Thames tonight to see the natives and pay over the Miners rights fees and lest I should miss the Star of the South tomorrow I drop you a line. There is nothing new. Don't expect to see the Luna until next week at the earliest the two Governors are away today on a shooting party to Maraitai. I see the Assembly is not to meet till the 14 August. We may see you here again perhaps before that. If there is anything fresh I will send a Telegram from the Thames tomorrow. In haste yours always, Daniel Pollen. July 4/71
