Cambridge 7th Feby. 1870 My dear Sir, I enclose two private letters which will give you some idea of the state of things in the Kings district. The letter dated 31st ultimo would have been forwarded to you some days ago, only that you were expected here. The King's party appear to be preparing to take advantage of Te Kooti's success or defeat, to declare either for or against us. I remain my dear Sir, Yours very truly, W. Moule. The Hon. D. McLean, Native & Defence Minister, AUCKLAND.
