My dear Sir Donald, I have received the enclosed voluminous letter from Sir George Grey since I saw you this afternoon and enclose it to you in order that you may look over it and I should be glad to see you tomorrow about it. It seems to me to deal largely in accusations of illegality and if so it appears to me that the law would be the right mode of obtaining redress. If on the other hand it is a matter of Policy the subject would be a very proper one for him to bring before Parliament but I own I do not see exactly in what way he expects me to interfere. Yours truly, Normanby May 18, 1875
