Candish alleged written agreement to purchase a quantity of wheat @ 8/6 per bushel. The agreement was produced and found to be defective - case dismissed. Overland mail from Wellington. The Annual Meeting of Members of Taranaki Book Club was held at the Police Office. Mr. Alexander King delivered a lecture on ethello. The infant school, in which the lecture was delivered, was crowded to excess. The clear and masterly manner in which the lecturer treated the subject, elicited general satisfaction. 13 Force engaged cleaning arms at Police Office.
