Napier Augt. 7/71 My dear McLean, I have nothing to add to last nights letter. What little news I have from Wairoa is of no account. Nothing will be done until Ropata gets there - He and his men are the only force we have capable of tracking Te Kooti through the Forrest. I have sent officially a lot of documents bearing on the attempt to make old Hapuku a Bankrupt. I hope quite enough information goes to frustrate Wilson's little game.
