The Wilsons were disappointed at not seeing your brother's family return with the "White Swan". Their loss is however your gain; and the anticipated pleasure is we hope only deferred --- I am anxious to see the series of "Native Ordinances" or rather Ordinance for their benefit --- I do indeed pity poor old Nikorima who so earnestly longs to see a settlement of Native quarrels and a commencement of prosperity by a sale of the land --- I hope we shall be able to do something for those who are so anxiously washing to further the views of the Government.
