Auckland 8th September 1871 To Messrs. Hesketh and Richmond Solicitors Auckland. Gentlemen, Myself against Marshall. You will please discontinue any proceedings you may have taken in this matter - It is not, and never was my intention to take any steps against Mr. Marshall in the manner you have done. The woman has urged this proceeding continually. (Sgd.)
