New Plymouth, March 1st. 1861. My dr. Sir, The only reports I have made on the validity of Teiras Title are included in the reports referred to in my official sent herewith, but I presume the most conclusive one (in the opinion of the Government and upon which they appeared to take action) was my report of Deer. 4, 1859 on payment of the instalment when William King admitteddit but defied the Govt. instead of ever offering any explanation more than that of his Fathers dying injunction. I send you this privately considering it better than putting it in an Official. Yours respectfully, R. Parris.
