Feby.15/47. My Dear McLean, I received your interesting letter by the Attorney General on Saturday. The Governor sailed the same day in H. M. Steamer Inflexible - for Wellington etc. and by the time this reaches you His Excellency must have visited you or he must be very near to you. Thatcher is with him and will give you all our news and deliver two Glasgow Newspapers I have sent you. The Governor has left me much to do, and I have hardly time to write you this short Note. Pray remember me to Capt. King and say I would have written in reply to the kind Note he sent me the other day but I really have not time as the Mail is about to start. I expect to hear that both you and he will be pleased with the reception the Governor will give you. In haste, Yours truly, A. Sinclair.
