Sir, I have the honor to inform you that I have requested the Sub of Collector of Customs at Kawhia when removing from that port to take the spirits in bond on board of the vessel together with all govt. stores. In the meantime and with the view to the saving of expense I have recommended Mr. Brewer to come to Raglan in the expectation that the Govt. may be disposed to declare it a port of entry, and hereby require his services, as sub. collector.
