Tangoio 25 April 1864 My dear Sir, I just send you a line to tell you that Towgood is gone up to Tarawera so that if there is any truth in the report as to the Maoris preparing to come down to Napier he will find it out and return immediately for my own part I fancy there is not much reliance to be placed in it. The Maoris here do not seem to know any more about it than what they have heard from Ihaka. In haste, Yours truly, Reginald Newton Biggs.
