6 August 1861 Maraekakaho My dear Donald I received the trees by Kean but they were a long time on the passage but I went down before then with the cart and got them up as quick as possible and I am now as busy as I can planting them. I do hope and trust they will live but I much fear they are rather late. It will be a sore disapointment to me if they don't after all my trouble.
