Tokanu, Decr. 29th, 1866. My dear Maclean, Would you order the following articles for Te Heuheus family, and give them to the bearer - for Tahuri his principal wife - A Gown A shawl A petticoat A blanket The same articles for Ruingarangi with the addition of a side saddle, for Hara and Pairau - each the same things as for his principal wife - All warm strong things. Truly yours, G. Grey. P. S. Herekiekie goes down with the bearer of this letter, also Te Heuheu. Will you give Herekiekie a saddle - and each of the chiefs some shot for ducks- Everything is quite quiet here, and the disposition of the chiefs is in every respect good. Their people have treated us everywhere with the greatest kindness. Give Te Heuheu and Herekiekie a few caps - they require them for duck shooting. Truly yours, G. Grey.
