Auckland May 13th. 1864. Required an authority from the Honble the Minister for Native affairs for an expenditure of Three hundred and ten pounds £310 over and above a previous sum of £500 expended under the sanction of His Excellency's Govt. for the erection of a mill near Pa Whakairo for the Chiefs Tareha Renata and Paora Kaiwhata. This sum has been already paid out of sums advanced to me for Land purchases and requires this authority
