4 May 1873 Maraekakaho My dear brother I received yours of the 14 April and glad to hear you were all well. Everything hear is doing well but fearfull wet. It puts a stop to a great deal of work such as fencing and carrying timber. The grasseed is all sown and looks well except 8 bags that was let of comeing which will be sown tomorow. This season is much in its favour. I wish their was as much more.
