Protectors Office, Auckland, August 1st, 1844. Sir, I have the honor to call your attention to the following regulations which have been issued from the Col. Secy's Office relative to a/c for travelling expences which may hereafter be forwarded by you for approval. It will be requisite that future a/c particularize in addition to the duration of the Journey, the places visited as in the form annexed, and should further be supported by a declaration on honor from the party as to the correctness of the periods for which the charges are made.
