Protectors Office, Auckland, August 1st, 1844. Sir, I have the honor to call your attention to the following regulations which have been issued from the Col. Secy's Office relative to a/c for travelling expences which may hereafter be forwarded by you for approval. It will be requisite that future a/c particularize in addition to the duration of the Journey, the places visited as in the form annexed, and should further be supported by a declaration on honor from the party as to the correctness of the periods for which the charges are made. Printed forms are in course of preparation in accordance to these new regulations and shall forwarded next opportunity I have the honor to be, Sir, Your most Obt. Servt.
