Wairoa 13th. Ap. 1865. My dear Sir, I have enclosed a rough tracing of the Court House and Block House drawn by Mr. Fitzgerald, it was done before the arrival of the Block house, but if you think it advisable the Court House can be put up at the rear of the Block House. I shall of course do nothing in the matter till I hear from you - I am happy to say our Loyal Natives muster strong and we are in good heart Major Lambert will give you an account of the proceedings. I shall do my best to get the Block house etc. finished with as little delay as possible. I am My dear Sir Your obt. ser. S. Deighton. P. S. Could you let me have a revolver. S. D.
