18 January 1865 Glenorchy My dear Donald I hope by this time that you are quite recovered from your illness and quite brisk again. I am happy to say that Catherine and myself is quite well but I look forward to a trip to the coast to be of great good to me and I would like very much to go when you are going again. If you go next month it would answer me very well. I hope poor Catherine is better in health than she was when I was down. I wonder she has not come up to make her preserves.
