New Plymouth October 8, 1861. My dear Sir. The Steamer instead of coming from the North as expected came from the South on her way back to Manukau giving ten minute for a Mail to be made up. We have no new here. Insurgent Natives say they are waiting for Waikato to settle, with Sir George what the future is to be. We are anxious to know as well. By the next mail I hope to send some correspondence on different subjects. Adieu in haste Yours truly R. Parris. D Mclean .Esq Horses and cattle disputes is the full employment now. R. Parris.
