Withdrew force into Clyde by sundown - feeling secure that Pa would hold out and expecting Te Kooti to follow up ourforce to Wairoa. Of my force I lost at ''Te Kiwi'' - 2 killed 1 wounded, one of the killed being Rev. Tamehana's elder brother. Lost at Mohaka - 3 killed Enemy slain at Te Kiwi - 'Hori te Rangi' Chief of 'NgatimateWai' and 6 others Many wounded also and settlement destroyed.
