Te Kiwi January 25th. 1869 To:- Hori te Rangi, and to the Tribe, Salutations! Know that we await you here, according to the terms of the conversations held by yourself and Te Wharekura with Teaki Kainga. Listen! Come out to us, and make an end quickly, of the troubles of the land. It is not known clearly that your offences are very great. Therefore come upon on speaking fairly to you. Do not foolishly imagine that our pursuit of you will end here; if you turn a deaf ear to our demands. Come therefore whilst the road is open for you to do so; and before further change takes place in our sentiments towards you. This is all from (Signed) N. Spiller. Capt. Commanding district. (Signed) G.B. Worgan (Signed) Geo. A. Preece.
