Auckland March 26th 1860 Dear Sir I have just seen McCabe and am very sorry to hear from him that you are yet far from well. I saw your letter to Fulloon and will go down to your house this afternoon and go through your papers with him. The accounts are getting pretty clear and I think as regards statements for publicationand for the General Assembly, we shall do very well. I send you down a copy of a complete statement I got up of the land purchases in the Auckland Province, from 1st July 1856 to 30th September 1859 and by Comparing the same with the attached statement of sums advanced by the Treasury during the same period, there is no discrepancy but what admits of explanation - Sincerely trusting that you will entirely recover your health Believe me Yours truly George Friend
