Hobson Street Monday 10 [?] May Mon chere frere A thousand thanks for last letter. We were surprised at you being still in Sydney. We addressed our last letters to Melbourne. You cannot think how happy I felt at you having succeeded in getting the things. Somehow I begin to think that Sydney is too attractive. It puzzles me your being so long there. It may be that a Miss is very handsome. The political world is woefully still at present. The Govr gone on a cruise further north. All the magnets of church and bench are having their say here at present. What a lifeless gathering it is in comparison to such meetings of the church at home. I fear missing the mail. In haste Annabella McLean
