By Mr McDonell Rangitikei 16 Jany 1852 My dearest Douglas I am only yet as far as Waikanae. The natives have so much to say. The weather is so hot and feeling rather unwell. I think I will just quietly take care of myself and take it easy. I will be quite well again tomorrow and in fact there is very little the matter with me now excepting a sort of headache arising probably from a disordered stomach. I was much worse when in town with you. I cannot help thinking there is something unhealthy about Dalmuir Hill, at least
