My dear McLean, We have fixed 7 o'clock tomorrow in the private room at the Club for our little dinner. You will meet Whitaker, Crosbie Ward, Kennedy of the Airedale etc. By the bye have you heard anything of the Commissionership? D. Bell promised to speak to H.E. on Saturday but I fear forgot to do so. Truly yours G.S. Whitmore 21 Octr. 1862
