However there is another subject which I feel sure would not be less agreeable for your taste to communicate upon, than what it would be to my own taste and of whose resources are both of us in possession. The subject I allude to we might call "System of Christian religion", upon every head it includes we might freely exchange out thought and opinions. Should the latter here and there differ or dash we know that we do not quarrel but only write for our own use and for the clear and definite development of our own views and principles which by reflection and writing on both sides will be brought into lively exercise and action - If my proposal should be agreeable to you, you will let me know either by giving me at once a dogmatical challenge or by calling upon me to offer one of that kind to you.
